CompassNorth’s editorial content is created to help Canadians make informed financial decisions. This policy explains how we produce, review, and maintain that content.

Independence from advertisers

Our ratings and “best for” recommendations are determined by our editorial team using the criteria published on each comparison page. Whether a provider pays for referrals does not influence product ratings, article content, or the order products appear in outside of clearly labelled sponsored placements (none are currently in use on this site).

Sourcing and accuracy

Product details are sourced from provider disclosures and public rate sheets. Every product page and rate table includes a “last verified” date. Because rates and terms change, we recommend confirming current details directly with the provider before applying.

Review and updates

Articles are reviewed periodically by a subject-matter expert and updated when regulations, rates, or product terms change materially.
